1. Robert Lewandowski

Is this a question at all? For obvious reasons, Robert Lewandowski has to be the finest player in the Champions League thus far. In an age dominated by Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, it was Lewandowski, following Luka Modric, who put a stop to the two superstars’ tyranny.

Lewandowski is everything that is required to be the best player on the planet right now: an explosive striker, a true poacher, and a team player. His output is massive, and he was a driving factor behind Bayern Munich’s renowned sextuple calendar year.

The Polish forward is a menace wherever he goes, and his movement off the ball frequently baffles the men tracking him, giving him short-term yet plenty of opportunities to exploit and score.

Lewandowski is incontestably a poacher, but it is only one of the many skills he possesses. He is a definite carrier of his team’s offense, despite the fact that there are many other prominent names, such as Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman, who all fall short of producing volume comparable to Lewandowski.

His goals in the Champions League 2021/22 are significantly superior to those of any other player on the list, with the exception of Haller, who will soon be left behind owing to his Round of 16 exit. It only took Lewandowski 23 minutes to make the competition’s record fastest hattrick, bringing his aggregate to 12 goals and 3 assists in just 8 games! He is just the finest, and there is no stopping him!
