Considering the tough financial situation that they’re in, Barcelona have been doing some great business. They brought Aubameyang into the club, and he’s become an immediate source for goals in his first 10 games for the club. They’ve also brought in Ferran Torres, who is a very talented winger and has a lot of potential.

Pedri was another great signing, and now they’ve reportedly just signed Franck Kessie, who’s a pretty good defensive midfielder. They also reportedly want Paolo Dybala.

But, they’re targeting one player that is really, really good, and actually matches the description of what Real Madrid should be looking for as well. Raphinha is a brilliant winger, and a great option to have for any team that knows how to use him.

According to Fabrizio Romano, it seems like Barcelona are interested, and the player is open to joining the club as well.

Raphinha would be the perfect winger for Real Madrid

How many wingers can Real Madrid consistently rely on right now? Out of Rodrygo, Vinicius Junior, Gareth Bale, Marco Asensio, Eden Hazard, only Vinicius can be considered consistent. Others either don’t play or aren’t consistent enough to be called reliable.

Raphinha would 100% break that barrier. He’s been one of the best players for Leeds United in the last two seasons, and has easily been one of the most underrated wingers in the Premier League in general. He has nine goals and three assists to his name. He’s pacey, he’s dynamic, he’s good with the ball and he makes good decisions, which is essentially everything you want in a winger. Raphinha is young enough to show some improvement over the course of the next few seasons, and he’s not exactly a superstar, yet, either.

Hee wouldn’t ask for a starting spot immediately upon joining. Real Madrid could bring him on in the 50th or 60th minute and he’d provide a lot of pace, energy and maybe even a goal or two, which is not something we can expect this bench to do right now.

With the signing of Kylian Mbappe almost confirmed, we probably know that any other attacker that joins would get a bench role, but Raphinha would be the first guy off the bench.

Now, if you talk about Barcelona, the Brazillian might not start for that club either. Dembele has been great so far, and he might stay beyond this season. They just signed Ferran Torres, who’s been good for the club. They will have Ansu Fati as well. So, if all players are fit, even at Barcelona Raphinha probably won’t start.

Next. Real Madrid are not interested in Paulo Dybala, but two of their rivals are. dark

There’s no reason for Real Madrid to not go for a guy like him, because they need a guy like him. It’s as simple as that. The team doesn’t crave just superstars, it needs some good back-ups as well, and Raphinha could become one.
