Real Madrid fans would like Florentino Perez to be active on the transfer market, and there is hope that he will not settle with Kylian Mbappe on a free transfer as his only signing. However, Madridistas must be careful not to get ahead of themselves. Real have been quiet these past couple of transfer windows. So will there really be a Revolution in 2022?
Let’s take a look at a handful of big names whom fans should not get their hopes up for Real Madrid signing in 2022.
PSG RB Achraf Hakimi
PSG clearly have no love lost for Real Madrid after the way they knocked them out of the 2021/22 Champions League and the fact that they are set to lose Kylian Mbappe to them for free. If anything, PSG want to steal players from Real, rather than contemplate anyone going in the other direction. There is obvious tension between these two clubs.
Madridistas are holding out hope for an Achraf Hakimi reunion, though. Antonio Conte told the world that Hakimi dreams of returning to Madrid, and there are rumblings that the Leonardo-conducted circus sideshow in Paris is beginning to wear thin on Hakimi.
But Hakimi just signed with PSG last summer. He is one of the team’s best players and one of the best right backs on the planet. Players like Hakimi are a rarity and in high demand. PSG will not let him go to Real Madrid under just about any circumstances.
While I hesitate to call this an impossible transfer, it is obvious to me that Madridistas should not consider Hakimi a realistic transfer by any means. Though he would be a perfect fit for right back and would even be a great auxiliary right wing option.
