CM Eduardo Camavinga

Real Madrid fans have always wanted Carlo Ancelotti to be more cautious and rotate more frequently, particularly in midfield. This is his best chance to rotate and an important time to rotate, as the veteran midfielders must be spared before a grueling second leg at the Bernabeu. Thomas Tuchel will throw everything at Real Madrid in an effort to advance in the competition he won last year.

Eduardo Camavinga was excellent for Real off the bench. He has been a big difference-maker this season, whether as a starter or a substitute. The ex-Rennes star has earned a start against Getafe, and his ball-winning and passion could be decisive against a notoriously hard-nosed Getafe side.

DM Casemiro

There is no alternative to Casemiro. Eduardo Camavinga could play as the 6, sure, but it may be more important to rest Toni Kroos instead. Casemiro had his issues with ball security against Chelsea, but he was also important defensively.

CM Fede Valverde

What more can be said about Fede Valverde? When Real Madrid need him the most, he delivers. He is already a big-game player at the age of 23 and someone who has the utmost respect of his peers and the fans. Valverde started as a right winger against Chelsea and should start there again in the second leg.

But against Getafe, play him for Luka Modric so that the Croatian Magician can get some important rest before the decisive second leg at the Bernabeu. Valverde will get to play his natural role as a right-sided midfielder, moving up and down the pitch as a Man of the Match candidate against the stingy Getafe.
