Real Madrid Transfers: PSG will reportedly offer Kylian Mbappe 180 million euros to stay

I am sure that none of us can wait for the season to end so that this saga, which now feels almost a decade long, can finally come to a close. Real Madrid and Kylian Mbappe, we’ve heard those two terms be talked about for years, and now we are entering the final stages.

There are many contradicting reports. Some talk about the contract already being signed, some talk about how all that is left is the contract to be signed. It’s a big decision for Mbappe, but I think his choice is as clear as day. He should move to Madrid, for sure.

PSG, unfortunately, aren’t backing down without a fight. According to BBC via AS, PSG are going to offer Mbappe a 180 million euro signing bonus to stay at the club. It’s said to be one, last contract offer from PSG to Mbappe, in hopes of convincing the player to stay in France.

Kylian Mbappe has already made it clear that money is not his priority

Let me make one thing clear: A 180 million signing bonus is freakin’ huge. It’s an insane amount of money, and it clearly shows PSG are trying to do everything they think Mbappe would want them to do to keep him on for a couple more years.

But here is the thing that PSG do not realise: Money is not an issue for Mbappe. It has never been an issue. If it was, Mbappe would’ve signed with PSG the moment he saw Real Madrid’s reported offer for him. What Real Madrid are offering is by no means a small amount, but PSG’s always offered him more. Here’s a reminder that they once offered him one million euros per week, and a blank cheque, both of which were reportedly rejected.

So yes, the money is not the issue. It’s everything around that. It’s the squad building. It’s the way they treat their players. It’s the way they think that signing the biggest players is helping their best player. There are so many factors on PSG’s side that make the club the opposite of the ideal place for Mbappe to take his career to the next level.

And Madrid is easily the ideal place.. Real Madrid respect their players. They respect their demands, and if one asks for a transfer, they do not stand in the way like PSG did for Mbappe last summer. They have history, they have Champions League pedigree. They have the winner’s mentality. And lastly, they are Mbappe’s dream club.
