4. Luka Modric

While others his age are enjoying a quiet retirement, Luka Modric is in owning one of the world’s most tough football leagues. It’s incredible how the veteran can still pull off the cunningness, the finesse, the elite knowledge, and distribution at this age.

The legend has set some serious standards for Real Madrid midfielders, and this season is no exception. Aside from his numbers, the footballer has fought for the club like no other. Without Modric’s skill, those atomic comebacks against PSG and Chelsea would not have been conceivable.

Lukita has participated in 38 Real Madrid matches this season and is the least prone to injuries; the fact that he is approaching his forties is ridiculous. So far, he has contributed 12 goals through goals and assists, but as previously said, he has contributed far more than these two things to the squad.

No other midfielder comes close to the Croatian in terms of defence, offence, or moving the ball throughout build-ups. Modric’s presence empowers the team since his absence has a significant negative influence on the team’s command over the game and overall rhythm.

Making it to fourth place was a piece of cake for the Magician.
