Although Real Madrid seem to have no intention of selling Casemiro in the current summer transfer window, Madridistas had better buckle up for more transfer rumors regarding the world-class defensive midfielder.

Not only are such rumors familiar to fans, but as Casemiro gets older and the club continues to be linked to his potential long-term replacement in Aurelien Tchouameni, the conversations will get louder.

According to a report from SER Deportivo’s Anton Meana, there are currently three clubs interested in signing Casemiro from Real Madrid.

PSG and Juventus are the first two, and the third is not exactly known. It is said to be a Premier League ‘giant’, which presumably means one of these four clubs: Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, or Manchester United.

Real Madrid is not interested in selling Casemiro at this time

No, United is not playing like a giant, but they are the biggest traditional club in England and could afford this transfer. After all, they signed two Real Madrid greats last summer in Cristiano Ronaldo and Raphael Varane, the latter directly from Los Blancos.

PSG have always been mentioned as being interested in Madrid’s players, from prospects like Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo Goes to established stars like Thibaut Courtois and Casemiro. In every case, Real Madrid have done everything to resist their players going directly to Paris, including rejecting an offer to swap Vinicius and cash for Kylian Mbappe in 2021.

The report from Meana goes on to say that Real Madrid are currently not entertaining the idea of selling Casemiro at this point, despite the interest. There is a bit of a nod to him not being untouchable, but, reading between the lines, it just means the transfer is not impossible but still highly, highly unlikely.

These clubs could try to convince Casemiro to join for more money, but based on how Case’s career has gone, that seems unlikely. Real Madrid seems to be his priority, and if he were to leave, it would be to, like Varane, seek a new challenge. And that also seems unlikely.

City, Chelsea, PSG, Juve, United, and Liverpool could all use Casemiro as a defensive presence, there is no doubt about that. And all of them but Juve could afford his transfer fee and wages. Madridistas should not be alarmed about these transfer rumors, but they are worth watching, in light of the Tchouameni interest.
