Real Madrid and Real Betis played out a very boring 0-0 draw at the Santiago Bernabeu, as the Merengues continued their struggles against Los Verdiblancos offensively at the Bernabeu. In any other circumstance, a goalless draw with Betis would be a disappointment, but Madridistas can come out of this match feeling satisfied.

Why? Firstly, nobody got injured in this final, meaningless match of LaLiga before next weekend’s Champions League clash with Liverpool. But secondly, this game was about Marcelo and Isco, who both looked very good in what will most likely be their final matches in the Royal White kit.

Here are the player ratings for the Real Madrid starters from their 0-0 draw with Betis.

GK Thibaut Courtois

Thibaut Courtois had nothing to do in goal. Which is a very good thing. That probably won’t be the case next weekend, though.

Rating: 6.0

LB Ferland Mendy

Two interceptions and a tackle for Ferland Mendy, as well as some effective overlapping. The French left back has been better lately in the attack and has looked a lot more lively on the ball. That bodes well as we head into the May 28 clash with Liverpool in the Champions League Final, where Mendy will have a decisive battle with Mohamed Salah.

Rating: 7.0

CB Nacho Fernandez

Nacho has been in very good form lately, and the veteran center back continued his solid displays by completing a touch over 98 percent of his passes, finishing second on Real Madrid with 55 pass attempts. After being too aggressive and hurting the team defensively earlier this season, Nacho has settled down and was very composed in this clean sheet against Betis.

Rating: 7.0

CB Eder Militao

Much, much better from Eder Militao. After being the scapegoat with some poor defensive displays lately, including against Cadiz last weekend, Militao showed off his positive traits in this one. He was good on the ball and borderline elite in defense, recording five clearances, three tackles, two interceptions, and a blocked shot for the Merengues. Militao will be one of Real’s most important players against the Reds, and, yes, I do expect him to start. David Alaba did not play today, but he is still expected to be available by May 28.

Rating: 8.0

RB Dani Carvajal

One of the best players on the pitch for Real Madrid against Real Betis, Dani Carvajal has shaken off his poor form earlier in 2022 to resume being a star at the right back position for Los Blancos. Carvajal had three key passes, two interceptions, and nearly 94 percent of his passes completed in a great all-around performance. He will be one of the key players for Los Blancos vs. the Premier League giants.
