Real Madrid standout convincing top talent to follow his footsteps?
Real Madrid are building quite the squad. Having already won the Champions League, Los Blancos are expected to fortify their roster with even more talent, in anticipation of the competition loading up in kind.
Antonio Rudiger is expected to be announced soon as a free agent signing, as Real already sealed that deal a few weeks ago. After him, Los Blancos appear to be close to signing an even more valuable player in young midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni.
The final details must still be sorted, but Real Madrid already agreed with Tchouameni on personal terms. They are close to signing him for 80 million euros plus a potential 20 million euros in bonuses. Barring a last-minute twist or attempt to raise the price from PSG, Tchouameni should be headed to Madrid as the next piece of the future elite midfield alongside Fede Valverde and Eduardo Camavinga.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Camavinga had some interesting words about the Aurelien Tchouameni transfer:
"“I hope Tchouaméni is coming to Madrid, I’ve already spoken to him. Let’s see what happens in the next few days…”."
It sounds like Eduardo Camavinga has a little “agent” in him, helping to convince his countryman to join him at Real Madrid over a potential big-money offer from PSG.
And it is very important that Camavinga is involved. PSG is trying to pressure Monaco into selling to them by offering more and more money, which puts the onus on Tchouameni to put his foot down and make it obvious he only wants Madrid. He would have to say he would not even play for PSG in order to stop that move from happening, such is the unlimited financial power of PSG with FFP destroyed in their case.
Tchouameni is a special talent at 22 and the only real long-term successor for Casemiro on the transfer market. Camavinga got Rennes to sell him to Real Madrid instead of taking PSG’s offer, but with PSG galvanized after getting away with even more blatant FFP breaches and on a mission to destroy Real, they will make things even worse in the Tchouameni transfer.
