Tyrell Malacia

I just had to include a name that isn’t notorious among fans but should be. Malacia is a Feyenoord product, who’s been at the club since he was nine. A recent inclination of mine towards Dutch football resulted in him catching my eye, and he’s a vivid prospect. The 22-year-old is under contract till 2024, but Real Madrid wouldn’t have to break the bank for the Dutchman. His current market value happens to be around 17 million euros, per Transfermarkt.

He consistently makes progressive runs with the ball, possesses great positional awareness, and his pace is off the charts. He entails a perfect balance between offense and defense; exactly what you’d expect out of a full-back. He has all the potential to be one of the best full-backs in the world, even at his young age.

Malacia is not linked with Real Madrid as of now, at any level. However, knowing Juni Calafat’s eye for talent, it wouldn’t take long for him to see the potential he possesses.

Regardless, at this age and with the potential he possesses, he needs regular game time. As good as he is, he surely wouldn’t get it at Real Madrid.

I’d say taking the Fran Garcia route makes the most sense, sporting and financial. I’d rather have the club invest big on a right-back, a position that desperately calls for an upgrade.
