Aurelien Tchouameni refused double the salary from PSG to join Real Madrid
I am so excited to see Aurelien Tchouameni play for Real Madrid next season. I’ve been on the hype train for a long time now, and I think it’s clear why. That guy is a mammoth on the defensive end, and is already elite at this age.
He’s also great on the ball, and can pass well, which leads to a number of high-yield midfield trios that Real Madrid can use next season, and because of that, the analytical and tactical part of my brain is just so happy about this signing.
But, it’s not only the sporting side of things that makes me feel happy about it, It’s everything else too. In his press conference, Tchouameni said all the right things.
Everything that the fans wanted to hear him say, he said it all. And the best thing was, it wasn’t just to impress the fans. Tchouameni actually meant every single word he said that day, and I love every bit of it.

But, according to MARCA, his love to play for Real Madrid doesn’t end there. There was a report from MARCA about the salary he’d be earning at the club.
It says that Tchouameni would earn around 6 to 7 million euros at Real Madrid. At PSG, he’d have earned around 12 million, double his current salary.
Isn’t that great to hear? A player wanting to play for Real Madrid so bad that he turns down a lot of money from other clubs to fulfil his dream? There was another Frenchman that was going to do it, apparently, but he couldn’t.
Ultimately, players like Tchouameni, who would move mountains so that they’re able to play for Real Madrid, that’s the kind of players the club needs. If Mbappe’s love for Real has a price tag, then, well, Tchouameni’s doesn’t. Isn’t that the difference, at the end of the day?

There are many other players that although get bigger offers from other clubs, turn them down and join Real Madrid, because they know how big of a deal it is to play at a club with as rich of a history as Real. It’s absolutely beautiful to see Tchouameni in a Madrid shirt, and I can’t wait to see him play.
