Real Madrid’s most prized possession currently is Vinicius Jr. Fresh off an incredible 2021-22 season, the Brazilian is going to get PAID this summer. He’s up for a big contract extension, and it’s fascinating to think about the heights he can touch next season. I really think that even though he’s taken a huge leap this past season, the sky is the limit for Vinicius.
It’s not just what he does on the field that never ceases to amaze me, it’s also his love for the club, and the passion with which he plays. Each time he scores a goal, he points to the badge. Every single time. You don’t do that just when you get paid. You do that when you love the team you’re playing for, and love and loyalty like of that kind just can’t be bought.

According to a report from the ever-reliable Mario Cortegana, Vinicius Jr. was a player that many clubs wanted to get during the season, but no one was able to. Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United, all asked for Vini but his answer was always no. The man didn’t want to leave Real Madrid, and no club could steal him from them.
Vini could be the most sought-after player in world football, but he isn’t. It’s just because every club that can afford him knows that his future lies with Real Madrid and Real Madrid alone. The financial incentive is of little value for Vini, who rejected a whopping 40 million euros a year offer from PSG to stay at Real, where his salary would be a fourth of what he would get at PSG.
Vini knows that there is no better club to be at than Real Madrid. That’s why I just don’t see him moving to any other club, at least not in the near future.
