Currently, Real Madrid has a full squad as all the first-team spots are occupied. There have been departures with Marcelo, Gareth Bale, and Isco leaving as free agents, but two new players have also been signed and there are some returning loanees.

There are some areas in the squad where new players can be signed, but to do so, the club needs to make some sales and loan some players. So let us have a look at some of the players who need to be loaned this season.

Before we jump into the list of players, I would like to mention that Luka Jovic isn’t a part of the list. The Serbian seems to be going to Fiorentina on loan, and both clubs are in negotiations. Since the club is already working on his loan move, I would like to omit his name from this list.

FW Reinier Jesus

The first name on the list is Reinier Jesus, which is an obvious choice. The Brazilian forward was signed in January 2020 with the vision of developing him and making him a part of Real Madrid’s future team. The club rated him highly, which explains why they chose to spend up to 30 million euros on another Brazilian teenager.

But the development has never kickstarted, as two precious years of his career were wasted on the bench of Borussia Dortmund, a club that is ironically known for the development of young talent. The 20-year-old couldn’t even get 500 minutes of league football during his loan spell in Germany.

This has been a lesson for both Reinier and Real Madrid, and there is a need for both of them to plot their next move carefully. He needs to play at a club where he can play regularly and progress well.

Being a Non-EU player who hasn’t proved himself yet, there was never going to be any chance of staying at Madrid. And there has never been any thought of a sale, with a loan move being the ideal scenario for Reinier.

So far this summer he has been linked to clubs like Real Valladolid, Espanyol and AS Roma. Only time will tell where he will end up.
