FW Takefusa Kubo

Takefusa Kubo has spent four loan spells in his three years as a player who’s owned by Real Madrid. His first spell at RCD Mallorca was a successful one and that season made the club think that he deserves to play at a bigger club and gain the experience of playing in Europe. But the following three loan spells have been failures, including the Villarreal move, where he could play for only half a season and lost importance in a team that went on to win the UEFA Europa League.

When Los Blancos signed him on a free transfer, there weren’t many expectations, as it was reported that he was a signing for Castilla. But his pre-season with the first team changed the club’s opinion of him and led to a loan move to Mallorca at the age of 18. The moment fans realized his potential, the expectations rose, but the player hasn’t been able to reach the fans’ expectations.

There have been some reports that suggest that the club are ready to listen to offers for a possible sale. A sale with a buyback option might be a good decision, but I think he deserves one more loan spell to prove himself. This should be his last loan move, and this should practically be his last chance.
