LB Miguel Gutierrez

Miguel Gutierrez is an excellent left-back, and he has proved his worth in the limited opportunities he got with the first team. I wanted to see him become the team’s second-choice left-back after Marcelo’s departure. But Rudiger’s arrival means that Alaba might play as a left-back, and compete with Ferland Mendy. This reduces Miguel’s chances of making it to the first team until something unexpected happens this season.

He’s too good to continue at Castilla, so it makes sense for him to go on loan. It has been reported that even the club wants him to go on loan and gain experience. It might be the best step for him at the moment, and I believe that he is just one good season, in which he remains fit, away from becoming a first-team regular.

AM Sergio Arribas

Sergio Arribas is my favourite Real Madrid Castilla player, and I’ve been waiting to see him become a first-team regular ever since the day he led Juvenil-A to UEFA Youth League success. He just had a successful season with Castilla on an individual level, scoring 15 goals and assisting 8 more.

He is a player with incredible 1v1 skills and playmaking skills. He has the ability to play from the right, or as a No.10, and will be a very useful player for Real Madrid. I wanted to see him being promoted to the first team directly, but he might not get a lot of minutes here. That’s why it might be better for him to go on a loan. If he goes on loan, I’m pretty sure that he will have a breakout season and would then return to the first team to get a better role.
