Real Madrid has been spending big in the transfer market, having bolstered their roster with two fantastic defensive additions. Rumors say that they still might be looking for several positions, mainly a winger in the market, to partner up with Benzema and Vinicius.

Here, we will be taking a look at some rumored transfers that could be massive mistakes for the Spanish giants.

3. Son Heung Min

Real Madrid have been linked to Heung Min Son before. We all know how quality Son is, and it seems like he’s in the form of his life at Antonio Conte lead Tottenham, having recently won the PL Golden Boot. But, the reality is that Son is currently 29 years old, and may cost up to 70 million Euros for the Spanish side.

70 million Euros for an ageing winger is quite a lot, and can be avoided, considering the number of quality options still available on the market. Real Madrid certainly wouldn’t be hoping for a repeat of the Hazard transfer saga, in which the player was in excellent form before signing and they paid a huge sum of money, only for the transfer to end up being a disaster.

Son is great, but he’s too expensive, and they could go for comparatively younger wingers in the market, like Gnabry. If Son was maybe 30 or 40 million, I’d consider bidding for him, because he’s class, and one of my personal favorites.

2. Paolo Dybala

Dybala is a free agent, and he was once linked to Real Madrid as a potential replacement for Marco Asensio.

I personally don’t see Dybala fit into Carlo Ancelotti’s 4-3-3 system, as he mainly featured as an attacking midfielder role, in Allegri’s 4-3-2-1 formation in Turin, as he’s so used to playing in a 3-5-2 and a 4-3-2-1 as a CAM behind the striker.

Dybala is about to turn 29 in November, and was Juventus’s highest earner in wages before his contract expired, making around 222,000 per week in wages. I don’t expect Dybala to lower his salary demands. Real Madrid isn’t going to offer high salaries, unless the player is an absolute necessity, as we’ve seen in the cases of Rudiger and Alaba.

The player is expensive in terms of wages, and we’re looking for a proper winger, so I don’t see this move going well.

1. Neymar Jr.

We’re linked to Neymar Junior, and this is a rumor we aren’t seeing for the first time. We’ve been linked to him since 2013, only to face disappointment. Reports state Adidas want Florentino Perez to bring the Brazilian superstar to the Bernabeu for the commercial aspect, but this would be a terrible transfer.

The player is looking for a move away from Paris, after the club apparently informed him he isn’t in their plans.

Neymar is a former Barca player, and though we’ve seen many Barcelona players join the club and taste success, I feel that Neymar wouldn’t be cut out for the job and doesn’t have the right mentality for this club.

Next. A talented midfielder is on his way out of Real Madrid, and it makes sense for him to leave. dark

Neymar’s yearly wages are around 31 million, and unless he’s willing to cut that by half, he should stay at the PSG. Neymar is 30, which is a lot for a guy who’d go for as much as Neymar, and apart from that, his lavish lifestyle outside the pitch wouldn’t be a really great role example to the youngsters either.
