3. Casemiro

There are several reasons why a player of Casemiro’s stature must establish himself before entering the 2022/23 season. The player had an incredible collective season, winning trophies on a constant basis, but was it a really successful season on a personal level? Not so much.

Casemiro’s performance for Real Madrid was adequate, but not up to the standards that have come to be expected of him. The player put up a few great performances, but they came in spurts, and consistency was an issue for him last season.

Tchouameni’s signing has also provided some competition for the Brazilian, which he did not have before this season. As previously said, Tchouameni already has his fair share of work to do, making Casemiro’s challenge in the midfield region tricky if he does not step up early.

Nonetheless, Real Madrid will profit from the competition between these two individuals working harder than ever to create results to establish their case, which will ultimately only strengthen the team.
