Marco Asensio, according to various reports, has a bunch of suitors that are very interested in him. Obviously, some more than others, but he’s not short of options.
Everyone that recognises the writer of these words knows that I am not the biggest fan of Asensio as a footballer, and I want him to leave Real Madrid for very obvious reasons. Those reasons are not limited to just Real Madrid, I do hope his next move can get his career back on track, and hopefully, he’s able to find a role that would get him good minutes.
According to a report from Alberto Peirero, via Infinite Madrid, Milan remains the club that is most interested in Marco Asensio.
Asensio at Milan would actually be a very good choice for him
Asensio doesn’t really have the pace in his legs to be a full-fledged winger. And he doesn’t have the stamina to sustain his production level and be a good presser at the same time on the wings.
But, Asensio doesn’t have to play on the wings for Milan, does he? He can just battle with Brahim Diaz – another Real Madrid player – for the CAM spot under Pioli. Asensio would have to press, but he wouldn’t really need the pace he’d need on the wings, and can go into the box, create chances and take shots.
Hopefully, Asensio is able to do what he does best under a good manager, in a good system, but it revolves around him more than his next potential club. He needs to buy in. He needs to work on his consistency, and he needs to make everyone feel his presence.

That’s the biggest issue with Asensio, and if regular game time and Pioli are able to change that for him, that would be fantastic. If not, then, well, it would not really be Real’s problem anymore, is it?
