Real Madrid have young players for the future. Even the ones who may never play for the first team will still earn the club a lot of profit whenever the decision is made to sell them on. The club’s doing well, and even though I would want Real to include some of those Castilla players in the first team on a few occasions, there is no denying the fact that the Castilla is a good team with all the talent they have, and they might challenge for promotion this season.

One of the players, Peter Federico, is one of the best players on the roster. He’s a crafty, pacey left-footed winger, who predominantly plays on the right. He’s pretty good at creating chances, but of course, he struggles sometimes, but that’s just growing pains, in my opinion.

Real Madrid have, according to Mario Cortegana, renewed his contract through 2025.

Renewing Peter Federico was the right decision, but Real Madrid need to do more for Castilla

It’s actually a pretty good move on Real Madrid’s part to renew Peter’s contract. It gives Real Madrid a few extra years to track his development, see how good he can become and then, maybe after that, start incorporating him into the first team, or send him out on loan.

But, that’s not where it should end. Real Madrid Castilla should become a place for youngsters to want to play at and stay at, and for that to happen, they need to be in the second division.

Otherwise, these young players would certainly want to move up the divisions and play for clubs that have more to challenge for. Castilla are in the 3rd division right now, and they are not really challenging for playoff spots.

For that to change, Real Madrid need to sign more young players, and try to develop them as much as possible. Raul is a good coach with a lot of potential, but even he would want to stay if the club gave him the resources to take the team to the next level.
