The ideal transfer window moves that Real Madrid should make

A lot of drama has already taken place in this transfer window, and it is still far from over. After signing Aurielen Tchouameni from AS Monaco for €100m and Antonio Rudiger on a free transfer from Chelsea, the Real Madrid squad is looking stronger in the defence as well as the midfield. Thus, the club’s main focus is on sales now.

The club has already spent enough, but an appropriate attack reinforcement might be the best thing for Real Madrid.

As per reports, Real Madrid will reportedly sign a winger if Marco Asensio leaves and a backup striker in case one of Borja Mayoral (linked to Getafe) and Mariano Diaz leaves.

With a lot of players constantly getting linked to Real Madrid, the fans can expect another player soon. But it is yet to see whether it will be a permanent signing or a loan and whether it will be a youngster or a player experienced enough to help the youngsters learn a thing or two from them.

Now, what exactly is the ideal summer for Real Madrid?

First Step: Get rid of the unwanted players

There is a lot of deadwood at the club. Real Madrid has got rid of a few players with hefty wages- Isco, Gareth Bale, Marcelo and Luka Jovic. Yet some things need to be addressed.

Mariano Diaz is the most unwanted player in the Real Madrid squad – he has been since the arrival of Luka Jovic, but the former Lyon player has no intention of leaving the club because of the money he is earning at the club for simply sitting on the bench and running a little on the field.

Real Madrid is pushing for the Dominican to leave, but his high demands are making it near impossible for Real Madrid to find a suitable club. It was even heard at a point that Real Madrid is seriously considering terminating his contract and making some space in the squad.

Next in the line is Marco Asensio – a decent player to be honest, but not in Real Madrid’s plans. Since the ACL recovery, Marco Asensio has been very inconsistent. He ghosts in the most important games, get benched and comes on as a substitute to score a banger and ghost in the next couple of games.

This has been the story for quite a while now and has frustrated the club. Yet to reach his prime, the 26 year old can be sold for a decent amount of €30 million which would be best for all the parties. Marco Asensio will demand a lot of playing time given he wants to play in the World Cup, which is not possible at Real Madrid with the club not counting on him. The thing is, the price tag that the club has put on him, no club intends to offer that much for the Spanish winger.

Then comes Alvaro Odriozola- the last choice right back at the club. I like Odriozola to be honest. But I don’t think he will be able to find time in this competition, so a move elsewhere with some decent fee would be good enough for the club.

Last but not the least, Reiner. The kid is just not having the best days of his life. With Vinicius Junior’s Spanish passport yet to arrive, his future at Real Madrid has become uncertain. Carlo Ancelotti likes the Brazilian a lot, but with the non-availability of a non-EU spot, Real Madrid cannot register him.

So, the best bet is to send Reiner on loan to a club that will give him the playtime he wants to flourish into the top-class centre-forward he has the potential to be.

If Real Madrid can somehow get rid of Mariano Diaz, Alvaro Odriozola and Marco Asensio, it will be a great first step for the club in having an ideal transfer window.
