Eden Hazard’s Real Madrid career has never quite taken off despite being at the club for more than three seasons now. During his time at Chelsea, he was truly one of the best players in the world and it was believed that joining the Spanish giants would help him take his game to the next level and become a potential Ballon d’Or candidate.

Unfortunately for the Belgian, things have not gone so smoothly. He has struggled with one injury after another during his time at Santiago Bernabeu, and now, there does not seem to be much hope of him ever justifying the huge transfer fee that Real Madrid paid Chelsea in order to sign him.

A move away from Real Madrid is not completely out of the question either, although the regular rumours linking Hazard with a return to Chelsea have not made the rounds this summer. Now, though, a surprise club seem to have entered the race for his signature.

As reported by Fotomac (via The Sun), Hazard is a target for Galatasaray. The Turkish giants plan to make a big impact by signing the Belgian superstar.

Hazard is being linked with a shock Real Madrid exit this summer

With all due respect to Galatasaray, it would come as a shock to most fans, if Hazard ended up there this summer.

While he might not have set the world on fire during his time at Real Madrid, there is still a faint hope that he can turn his career around and come good for Los Blancos.

One has to remember that Hazard has not played badly when he has been on the pitch. His problem has been that he has struggled to remain fit for any considerable length of time.

It remains to be seen if he can rediscover his fitness this season. Still just 31 years of age, it feels a bit too early for him to move to the Turkish league, even if things are not going his way.
