Real Madrid are the defending La Liga and UEFA Champions League holders. While not many pundits might have given Carlo Ancelotti’s side much of a chance last season, Los Blancos did what they do best, and that is to find a way to win. It is this relentless pursuit of winning that has seen them win Europe’s elite competition a record 14 times. There is no close second.
Real Madrid did not rest on their laurels this summer either. While they did not make wholesale changes to the squad, because they did not need to, the Spanish giants did bring in Aurelien Tchouameni and Antonio Rudiger. Both of them could prove to be major stars for the club for years to come.
And it looks like Real Madrid have their plans for next summer already in place too, and have identified their next potential Galactico already.
As reported by GOAL, as of today, Real Madrid’s main objective is to sign Jude Bellingham next season.
Real Madrid have identified English midfielder as next Galactico
Real Madrid currently have arguably the greatest midfield ever assembled in the history of football. But at the same time, one also has to admit that they will need to be replaced sooner or later.
Luka Modric is 36 years of age, Toni Kroos is 32 and even Casemiro is 30. As a result, younger players are needed in the middle of the park.
The club have gone a long way in doing that as well. Federico Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga and Tchouameni are seen as the future of Real Madrid’s midfield, and if they can add someone like Bellingham to that mix, it could ensure European dominance for several more years to come.
It is hard to believe that Bellingham is still 19 years of age. He is already one of the best midfielders in the Bundesliga and has shown his quality in the Champions League as well.
