Casemiro is an absolute Real Madrid legend and often does not get the credit that he deserves. He is just as important to this team as Luka Modric and Toni Kroos, and them together might very well be the greatest midfield trio ever assembled, having played a part in four UEFA Champions League triumphs together.

Casemiro might be 30 years of age, but he remains a key player of Carlo Ancelotti’s side, despite the fact that they have signed Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni in recent times.

Thus, not many fans would have expected there to be any chance of Casemiro departing Real Madrid any time soon. Yet, there could potentially be a late twist in this summer transfer window, as the Brazilian is being linked with a move to Manchester United.

As tweeted out by Fabrizio Romano, Casemiro will have a conversation with Ancelotti to discuss his future as the Manchester United contract proposal is tempting him.

It is safe to say that the situation is far from ideal for Real Madrid, as it appears that Casemiro is actually considering the idea of moving to Manchester United.

Manchester United are in a terrible spot at the moment, as they sit at the bottom of the Premier League table, after having lost their opening two games convincingly.

The club had been linked with a move for Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong all summer, but now that it is starting to look improbable, they seem to have shifted their eyes towards Casemiro.

Casemiro already has a couple of former teammates at Manchester United in Cristiano Ronaldo and Raphael Varane, who are not having the best of times. But some rumours in Spain have suggested that the Brazilian’s salary could almost be doubled if he made the move to Old Trafford.
