Real Madrid rejected €90 million offers for midfielder
It is safe to say that Real Madrid have one of the most talented young core of players in world football, if not the most talented. Los Blancos might have won the Champions League title last season, but this team is not built just for now, but for the future as well.
When thinking about future superstars for the Spanish giants, the name of the usual suspects come up. Vinicius Junior, Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni have very high expectations surrounding them. But there is another player, who could be a mainstay in this Real Madrid side for the next decade or so.
That player is none other than Federico Valverde. The Uruguayan has shown incredible versatility and quality over his time at Real Madrid. While he is naturally a central midfielder, he has done an exceptional job on the right wing, and might have nailed down his spot in that position in Carlo Ancelotti’s starting XI.
It should come as no surprise that Valverde has drawn the interest of clubs around Europe. As reported by El Debate, several English clubs have offered €90 million for him. But Real Madrid have declared the Uruguayan as non-transferable.
Real Madrid have rejected huge offers from English clubs for Valverde
In Valverde, Real Madrid have a player who can be a big part of the club for a long time to come. He is just 24 years of age and is already showing incredible consistency, even when not playing in his best position.
According to stats from Transfermarkt, Valverde made 46 appearances for Real Madrid last season. And he provided the all important assist in the Champions League final against Liverpool.
While Valverde might be shining on the right wing right now, it feels like his long-term future lies in midfield with Luka Modric 36 years old and Toni Kroos 32.
