This summer transfer window is not over yet but already there are rumours doing the rounds about Real Madrid’s priority signing for the next one. And it looks like Los Blancos have their sights set on Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham, who is expected to leave the Bundesliga giants sooner or later.

Bellingham is already one of the best players in the Bundesliga and has proven himself at the UEFA Champions League level as well. Thus, it is almost bizarre that he is still just 19 years of age and no surprise that many believe he could go onto become the best midfielder in the world one day.

Thus, if Real Madrid are able to sign Bellingham, it would considered a major coup, although one would expect that it would take a transfer fee north of €100 million to sign him. And there is going to be heavy competition as well, as Liverpool are also keeping an eye on the Borussia Dortmund star.

In fact, it looks like the relationship between Jurgen Klopp and Borussia Dortmund will be an advantage for Liverpool. Jan Aage Fjortoft tweeted out:

While Klopp’s incredible history with Borussia Dortmund might hand Liverpool an advantage in the race to sign Bellingham, the allure of the Premier League might play a factor.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for the English midfielder. He would definitely be considered as a huge signing for any club in the world at this point of time.

Midfield is Real Madrid’s strong suit at this point of time, as they have the likes of Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Aurelien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga and Federico Valverde.

But at the same time, Modric is 36 years of age while Kroos is 32, so sooner or later, Real Madrid will have to prepare for their inevitable exits or retirements.
