Real Madrid’s summer transfer business has been confusing to say the least. Months back, Los Blancos were being linked with a blockbuster double move for Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland. They have signed neither and instead have brought in Aurelien Tchouameni and Antonio Rudiger. Now, don’t get us wrong, both are brilliant additions to the team. On the other hand though, they have let several more leave.

Gareth Bale, Isco and Marcelo were always expected to depart this summer but the shocking exit has been that of Casemiro, who has joined Manchester United.

And now, there are some rumours doing the rounds in Spain that Liverpool have an eye on Toni Kroos, as the Reds search for a midfielder.

It is safe to say that those rumours make close to zero sense at this point of time. Real Madrid have already let go of one of their best players in the form of Casemiro and there is no chance that they will let Kroos go in the same window as well. Thus, Los Blancos fans should not really be worried about the situation, especially with just a few days to go in this window.

Of course, anything can happen in football, but even then, it is almost impossible to imagine Real Madrid letting go of Kroos at this point of time.

Yes, he is 32 years of age but he remains a very important part of this team. And while Real Madrid have a very talented core of young midfielders, they need Kroos’ experience as well.

It feels like transfer silly season at its best and expect to see Kroos playing on in a Real Madrid shirt this season, no matter what some rumours around the media might suggest.
