Real Madrid: Vinicius Jr has set massive target this season

Vinicius Jr was always one of the most highly-rated talents at Real Madrid. But the Brazilian struggled to put it all together for his first several seasons in the Royal White jersey. He had almost everything in his game except for the end product and that was a cause for frustration amongst a lot of fans.

Some rumours had even linked Vinicius with a move away from the club but Real Madrid were adamant that he would be staying at Santiago Bernabeu. And now, they are reaping the rewards of that decision.

Vinicius took his game to the next level last season. He broke through that wall in front of goal and managed to find the back of the net on a consistent basis for the first time in his career. He scored 22 goals for Real Madrid in the 2021/22 campaign.

Only Karim Benzema scored more goals than him and on top of that, the Brazilian ended up scoring the Champions League-winning goal as well. But this time around, it seems like he has even bigger targets.

It feels like Vinicius has gotten even better this season and is just going from strength to strength. Real Madrid might have one of the best players in the world on their hands and he is still in his early 20s.

And as reported by Marca, Vinicius is convinced that this season he can touch the 30-goal mark.

It is great to see that kind of ambition from a player of his age as it is pretty clear that the Brazilian is destined for the very top of the game unless something unexpected ends up happening in his career.

Now, it is about reaching those lofty targets though but if he continues to develop his game at this rate, the 30-goal mark is not unrealistic at all for the Brazilian.
