Real Madrid might not have been very active in the summer transfer window but they did pull off a couple of transfers in the form of Antonio Rudiger and Aurelien Tchouameni, alongside a temporary move for 17-year-old Iker Bravo, on loan from Bayer Leverkusen, and the Spaniard has been included in their Champions League squad.

The signing of Tchouameni looks like a transfer masterstroke in particular. The Frenchman has been absolutely stunning in the middle of the park for Real Madrid in some of the recent matches and while it is believed to have taken a transfer fee in the region of €100 million to sign him, that is quickly starting to feel like money well spent.

If Tchouameni can continue to perform like this and develop further moving forward, there is a possibility that he could a regular fixture in the Real Madrid team for the next decade or so.

Real Madrid were not the only ones in the running for Tchouameni’s signature this summer though. As revealed by Fabrizio Romano on his YouTube channel, Liverpool were very keen on the Frenchman as well and tried to convince him to come to Anfield. Paris Saint-Germain wanted to sign him from AS Monaco as well.

Real Madrid managed to beat the likes of Liverpool and PSG to the signing of Tchouameni

Tchouameni has everything that you could want in a midfielder and is expected to play a significant role for Real Madrid as well, after Casemiro left this summer.

He does seem very capable of filling those shoes as well. While he might not be as astute defensively this early on in his career, he does seem to be better going forward than Casemiro, as proven by his no look assist to Vinicius Junior recently.

Unless something unexpected happens, Tchouameni is set to be a future superstar for Real Madrid.
