2.  Alessandro Del Piero

The regret of how few Italian geniuses have ever donned a Real Madrid shirt leads to the desire to have seen Del Piero wear one. Italy is a country that lives and breathes football and has given the world some of the best players, but Los Blancos struggled to attract any of them to the Bernabeu, with the obvious exceptions of Fabio Cannavaro and Christian Panucci.

Del Piero was one of Italy’s many footballing greats, and he was maybe the finest of the Azzurri. He led Juventus and Italy to the greatest of victories and played with fire and love for both teams.

The ball at Del Piero’s feet was a sight that only the fortunate could witness. He possessed the wherewithal to make goalkeepers seem like clumsy amateurs and make defenders dance.

He could execute the most difficult tasks with ease and wreak havoc on the field with his swift legs and astute intellect, which was too much for even eleven men to cope.

It was a shame that Del Piero could never join Real Madrid even though the player admitted he was close to joining the Spanish giants at some point in his career but rather decided to make the most of his name at the Old Lady in Italy.

Goosebumps do not cease when the thought of having Del Piero in a stacked Galactico squad of Real Madrid strikes. Alongside many greats like Zidane, Beckham, Ronaldo and the innumerable others, Del Piero could have had perhaps the best moments of his career.

It was unfortunate that Del Piero was never able to join Real Madrid, despite the fact that the player confessed he was close to joining the Spanish giants at some time in his career but chose to make the most of his fame at the Old Lady in Italy.

The idea of Del Piero being a part of Real Madrid’s loaded Galactico side never ceases to give one goosebumps. The Italian could have experienced the finest moments of his career alongside incalculable greats like Zidane, Beckham, Ronaldo, and countless more.

But in reality, this dream, like many others, comes to an end with regrets over what could have been rather than celebration of what was.
