Neymar admits that Real Madrid defender is scary

Neymar has been through many a battle against Real Madrid through the course of his career. Of course, he was one of the famous MSN trio that wrecked havoc in Spanish football, alongside Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez. And since moving to Paris Saint-Germain, he has come up against Los Blancos as well.

It remains to be seen if Real Madrid end up facing PSG again this season, after knocking them out of the Champions League last time around, in an incredible turnaround.

Real Madrid would go on to win the Champions League title last season and since then have added players like Antonio Rudiger and Aurelien Tchouameni to their ranks.

Rudiger was one of the best defenders in the world at Chelsea and arrived at Real Madrid as a free agent, when his contract ran out with the English club. And after a bit of a stumble, he is starting to making his presence felt in Spain as well. And he is someone who seems to have particularly impressed Neymar over the years.

As reported by SPORT, while speaking to DAZN, Neymar said about Rudiger:

"“I like him. He is a center back that scares you. He is very strong and big! Some forwards get a little scared. I don’t, but I think a lot of strikers get a little scared.”"

It is safe to say that Rudiger is a quality centre back. But then, Real Madrid have a lot of options in the heart of defence at this point of time.

Eder Militao and David Alaba seem to be the first choice starters at the moment, although Rudiger definitely has a chance to play his way into the team.

And he will get starting opportunities in the next few games for sure. Militao picked up an injury in the game against Celtic and is expected to be out for a week or so. And in his absence, Rudiger is expected to take his place in the starting XI.
