CM – Fede Valverde

The young Uruguayan had an outstanding performance. He began a deep run from his own half, carving his way past a whole defence and midfield on his own all the way to the outside of the box to cut in and score a screamer. Valverde is finally done hitting the posts. He was a machine for the remainder of the game! He followed down opponents and combined well with wingers and attackers. Incredible stuff.

Rating: 9.5

DM – Toni Kroos

Today’s captain was used as a defensive midfielder, but Kroos was not about to let his offensive abilities go unnoticed. He took shots, made passes, and delivered precise long balls. He was absolutely terrific. Rolls Royce footballer.

Rating: 9.0

CM – Dani Ceballos

The Spaniard was in the game from the opening minute and tested the Mallorca goalkeeper early on, demonstrating how much he has to offer and how many more minutes he needs. Ceballos contributed equally on defence and offense and was virtually everywhere. Ceballos should surely start more!

Rating: 8.5

LW – Vinicius Jr.

Another strike by the Brazilian! Let us talk about that first touch from Vini! It was so subtle, but so significant. Vinicius has established a high bar for himself, and he strives to meet it in every game.

Rating: 8.5

ST – Eden Hazard

Simply put, the Belgian did not have a good game. He was powerful in the first few minutes but quickly faded and became non-existent. Hazard was barely moving, and something was keeping him from attempting shots. As of now, he is not a viable alternative to fill in for Benzema.

Rating: 5.0

RW – Rodrygo Goes

Rodrygo is here to conquer! He was heavily involved in the offense today, particularly from the centre, and established an impenetrable duo with Vinicius. With a goal and an assist to his name, he is the solution to all right wing issues. A breakthrough season lies ahead!
