It would be an understatement to say that Eden Hazard has struggled at Real Madrid, since joining the club from Chelsea in the summer of 2019. The Belgian was one of the best players in the world during his time with The Blues and that convinced Los Blancos to break their transfer record to sign him.
It is safe to say that Hazard has not even come close to justifying the figure that Real Madrid paid to Chelsea for him. His time at the Santiago Bernabeu has been filled with one injury after another, and now, there are serious question marks about whether he is even capable of being the player that he once was.
The game against Celtic provided some hope, as Hazard found the back of the net and put in a solid display overall as well. Thus, in the absence of Karim Benzema, he could have filled in as the false nine. But then, he started in the game against Mallorca and failed to make an impact once again.
And as tweeted out by Ramon Alvarez de Mon, in the leadership of Real Madrid there is great disappointment with Hazard. Yesterday’s game ratified them in that disappointment.
🚨 Información: en la cúpula del Real Madrid existe una gran decepción con Hazard. El partido de ayer les ratificó en esa decepción. Después trato de ampliar en el canal.

Hazard’s Real Madrid dreams suffer another blow
There were many people who expected Real Madrid to move on from Hazard this summer, after three very disappointing seasons.
Unfortunately, there did not seem to be much interest in his signature from clubs around Europe, and understandably so.
There was a lot of talk about Hazard getting back to his best and proving people wrong before the start of this campaign but till now, the Belgian has not delivered. We are just seven games in though, and one would expect that the Belgian will get at least some opportunities moving forward to turn his Real Madrid career around.
