Real Madrid have been linked with several players in recent times even though they have not been the most active when it comes to signing them. The two best examples that come to mind are that of Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland. There were some suggestions that Los Blancos could make an audacious attempt to sign both this summer but in the end, ended up with none.
Now though, they are already being linked with a big signing for next summer and the player whose name is doing the rounds of the rumour mill is that of Jude Bellingham of Borussia Dortmund.
The English midfielder has made quite the name for himself during his time in Germany and is considered as one of the best players in the Bundesliga already and the heart and soul of the Borussia Dortmund midfield, despite the fact that he is only 19 years of age.
Rumours have suggested that he is a top target for Real Madrid next summer, while Liverpool have also been heavily linked with him. But now, it looks like the name of Manchester United is also in the hat for Bellingham. As reported by Metro, Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg said:
"‘He’s an upcoming superstar player.‘I am totally convinced he will leave Dortmund in 2023 maybe to Liverpool, maybe to Manchester United.‘I think these are two teams that have very good chances to get him. He’s an amazing player, amazing character. Very good personality.’"
Manchester United hand transfer blow to Real Madrid in Bellingham transfer race
It is safe to say that Bellingham would be considered as a great signing for most clubs in Europe at this point of time.
He is just 19 years of age and is already playing like one of the top midfielders in the game. Thus, he has all the potential to be one of the best in the world when he finally reaches his prime, which might be a decade away!
Thus, if Real Madrid are able to sign him, it would be a huge boost for them as they already have a great midfield. Let’s see if it ends up happening or not though.
