Real Madrid are ready to take their toughest test of the season yet when they take on Atletico Madrid at the Metropolitano this weekend. Los Blancos might have been perfect and won all their games this season till now, but that will be put to the test for sure, when they come up against Diego Simeone’s side.
Now, it must be pointed out that Atletico Madrid are not enjoying a particularly brilliant start to the campaign themselves. They are currently sitting at 7th in the La Liga table and are coming off of a loss at the hands of struggling Bayer Leverkusen in mid week. The German club are in the relegation zone of Bundesliga at the moment.
But when they take on Real Madrid, it would not be a surprise to anyone if Simeone’s side raise their game and make it tough for Los Blancos. That is what they have made a name for themselves for doing over the years.
One of the key players in the derby will be Vinicius Jr, who has been in incredible form this season but has also been in the eye of controversy too, thanks to his antics during games. And Atletico Madrid captain, Koke, has warned that that could lead to trouble when the two sides meet.

The Atletico Madrid skipper was recently asked how their supporters would react if Vinicius brought out his dancing celebrations at the Metropolitano. As reported by Madrid Universal, Koke said while speaking to Movistar+:
"“Everyone has their way of being and celebrates the goals as they want. But there will be trouble, for sure.”"
There is a very good possibility that Vinicius Jr could end up scoring against Atletico Madrid. He has raised his game this season to another level.
He scored in five straight games before that streak was broken against RB Leipzig in midweek. Real Madrid fans will be hoping that he is back amongst the goals at the weekend though.
