Real Madrid do not have a very deep squad at the moment and Carlo Ancelotti mostly likes to stick with a certain group of players for the most part. Thus there are a number of people at Santiago Bernabeu who do not have a clear role in the team and could do with a move away from the club as soon as possible.
One great example of such a player is Alvaro Odriozola. He had been linked with clubs like Real Sociedad, Villarreal, Nottingham Forest and several others over the course of the summer, but a move ultimately did not transpire and he remained at Real Madrid.
Things are not going his way at Santiago Bernabeu though. Odriozola is yet to play a single minute of football this season and is struggling with fitness problems as well. But he could be thrown a career lifeline in the near future.
As reported by Tuttomercatoweb (via Juvefc.com), Juventus want to sign Odriozola from Real Madrid.
Juventus are reportedly interested in signing struggling Real Madrid player
Odriozola already has experience of Italian football, having spent time on loan at Fiorentina, in what was a decent spell for the Spaniard.
Once upon a time, he was one of the most highly rated youngsters in La Liga and had enjoyed a meteoric rise at Real Sociedad, but it would be safe to say that things have not gone Odriozola’s way since his move to Real Madrid.
Thus, at this point of time, leaving the club and trying to resurrect his career somewhere else might be the best option for him and Juventus might be a great place to do that.
Now, it remains to be seen if they do indeed end up making a move for Odriozola or not. Let’s see what the future holds for the Spaniard.
