It is rumoured that Liverpool were very interested in signing Aurelien Tchouameni in the summer but ultimately, the Frenchman ended up moving to Real Madrid instead. It is believed to have taken a transfer fee in the region of €100 million to sign him but after his first few months at the club, it looks like the midfielder was worth every last penny as he has been sensational and has not let Los Blancos feel the absence of Casemiro, who left for Manchester United.

Real Madrid have arguably the best midfield in Europe right now. Luka Modric and Toni Kroos will go down in history as all-time greats. On the other hand, they have a young core of players in Tchouameni, Federico Valverde and Eduardo Camavinga, who seem more than ready to step up.

And Real Madrid seem to be looking to add more quality to their midfield, by signing Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund. But Liverpool could stand in their way.

As reported by El Nacional, Liverpool are preparing a first offer of around €80 million for Bellingham. However, it is believed that Borussia Dortmund won’t be satisfied with anything less than €100 million.

The race for Bellingham’s signature is expected to be tight next summer. Other than Liverpool and Real Madrid, the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea are also believed to be interested in the English midfielder.

It is not hard to understand why either. At 19 years of age, Bellingham is one of the best players in the Bundesliga and has already proven himself in Europe. On top of that, he has represented the England national team on several occasions as well.

Thus, it would be considered as a blockbuster move for any club to sign Bellingham at this point of time. He could be a future Ballon d’Or contender.
