Real Madrid’s start to the season has been fantastic and surprising to a large extent, thanks to the fact that Los Blancos do not have a huge amount of depth in their squad at the moment. Also, the club let several of their experienced stars leave in the summer, especially Casemiro, who ended up joining Manchester United in a deal that could rise up to £70 million with add-ons.

Casemiro was one of the main protagonists in Real Madrid’s last four Champions League triumphs and had formed a legendary trio with Luka Modric and Toni Kroos in the middle of the park.

Incredibly, since his departure, Aurelien Tchouameni has stepped in and is playing like he has been at Real Madrid for years, when it reality, he just joined in the summer from AS Monaco. Los Blancos might have shelled out a huge transfer fee to sign the Frenchman but based on his early performances, he seems to be worth every penny.

And as reported by Marca, Tchouameni has landed on his feet in the locker room and Modric and Kroos are delighted with him. He might not have the same profile as Casemiro, but he has fitted in very well and the trio are playing more and more comfortably together in the middle of the park.

Real Madrid have won all of their games so far this season, and Tchouameni has certainly played his part in that.

Alongside Vinicius Jr, Tchouameni has arguably been Real Madrid’s player of the season till now, and while it might be too early to judge, the club might very well have pulled off a transfer masterstroke by signing him.

The Frenchman was also wanted by Liverpool but it looks like his decision to join Real Madrid instead has paid off.
