Real Madrid appear to have some big plans for the upcoming summer transfer window, after staying relatively quiet in the market for a few years now and having a net spend lower than several mid table clubs in the Premier League over the past decade or so. That is impressive for Los Blancos, who have a reputation for making big money signings, and yet they have arguably been more successful than ever during this period of time.

Some big signings could be coming next summer though and one player that they have been linked with repeatedly in recent months is Jude Bellingham of Borussia Dortmund.

It is believed that Real Madrid view him as their next Galactico and it is not hard to see why either. Bellingham might be just 19 years of age but he has already become the heart and soul of Borussia Dortmund’s team and established himself as one of the top players in the Bundesliga.

Initially, it had been believed that a transfer fee around €100 million would be enough to sign Bellingham. But as reported by The Athletic (via Express), Borussia Dortmund are only willing to let him leave if their £131.6 million (€150 million) asking price is met.

It is safe to say that Bellingham is one of the biggest talents in the game right now and many consider him as a future Ballon d’Or contender.

Even then, it is hard to imagine that Real Madrid would be willing to shatter their transfer record to sign the teenager from Borussia Dortmund. But then, stranger things have happened in football.

It must also be pointed out that the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea are also believed to be firmly in the race to sign Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund.
