Barcelona hand massive transfer blow to Real Madrid

The ability to recruit the top Brazilian youngsters has been one of the keys to Real Madrid’s success in recent years. Of course, the two examples that come to mind immediately are that of Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo, both of whom had been brought to Santiago Bernabeu simply based on their raw potential and have gone on to become first-team stars since then.

Vinicius is already a bona fide superstar, who has arguably been Real Madrid’s best player this season till now and scored the Champions League winner against Liverpool last time around. On the other hand, it looks like Rodrygo is set to have his breakthrough campaign this time and is playing some fantastic football.

There is another Brazilian sensation that Real Madrid have been linked with in recent times, Endrick, but it looks like Barcelona have stolen a march in the race to sign him.

As reported by SPORT, Barcelona have made their move to sign Palmeiras star Endrick and there has already been a first meeting in the Catalan capital. Barca’s sporting commission met with the team that advises the youngster. He is one of the club’s targets in the Brazilian market.

Of course, it does not seem like there is anything advanced between Barcelona and Endrick, but still, Xavi’s side have shown their intent already.

Interestingly, despite there being so much hype surrounding the youngster, he has not actually played senior football for Palmeiras till now.

But he has been absolutely brilliant at the youth levels for the club and has also done well for Brazil’s youth sides. Thus, it is not hard to see why there is so much interest in Endrick. Several major European clubs other than Barcelona and Real Madrid are also interested in him.
