4. Casemiro

Casemiro makes it to the list of biggest bargains in club history as Real Madrid signed him for a transfer fee believed to be around €6 million from FC Sao Paulo back in 2013.

He initially played one season with Real Madrid Castilla on loan from FC Sao Paulo before being made a permanent signing. His initial seasons at Santiago Bernabeu were not brilliant. But after a successful loan spell at FC Porto in the 2014/15 season, he had a breakthrough into the starting XI, where Zinedine Zidane’s managerial skills helped unveil an instrumental defensive midfielder.

He ended up forming a legendary trio with Kroos and Modric in the middle of the park for Real Madrid that went on to win four Champions League titles and several other pieces of silverware for Los Blancos, during their time together in Spain.

From his breakthrough performances, defensive support, and aerial ability, Casemiro proved to be an incredibly valuable signing for Real Madrid. He would go on to complete a shock exit to Manchester United in the summer of 2022 for a transfer fee that could rise up to £70 million with add-ons and will always be fondly remembered for his success that he enjoyed with the team.
