Eden Hazard makes bold claim about Real Madrid

Eden Hazard’s dream move to Real Madrid has turned into a nightmare over the past three years or so. When the Belgian superstar had been brought in from Chelsea, many expected him to fill the gap left behind by Cristiano Ronaldo, as the face of the team, and go on to contend for Ballon d’Or awards.

Unfortunately, Hazard has not even come close. He has spent the majority of his time either out on the sidelines due to his injuries or sitting on the bench as he has struggled to get into the playing XI.

Heading into the campaign, there was a lot of hype around Hazard turning things around and rediscovering his old form but till now, he is yet to show any of it. He did put in a good display against Celtic, when he managed to score and was involved in the other goals as well, but other than that, he has not done much to justify starting over the likes of Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo or even Federico Valverde as a winger.

But as reported by ESPN, Hazard told RTL:

"“When I play, I give it my all. It’s a delicate situation at Real Madrid. I feel like playing more, but I can’t do more.“I’ve always said the old Eden Hazard will come back when he plays. I just need to get back into the rhythm.”"

It would be safe to assume that Hazard does not sound delighted with the amount of playing time that he has been getting at Real Madrid.

But at the same time, it is hard to see him getting any more in the future either because there are other players ahead of him in the pecking order who are playing better and more consistent football. It is simple as that.

Even then, there are a lot of fans who still have not given up on Hazard and are hoping to see the Chelsea version of him, the one who was a Premier League legend and one of the best players in the world.
