Real Madrid have made an incredibly brilliant start to the new season, winning all of their games till now. And what makes this even more impressive is the fact that they have done so despite having quite a few of their players out injured at certain points of time, despite their being question marks about the side’s squad depth.

Of course, the big absences were that of Karim Benzema and Eder Militao, both of whom had gotten injured vs Celtic in the Champions League opener at Parkhead. The Brazilian recovered quickly and made his return to the pitch vs Atletico Madrid, but the French striker remains out.

Another player who has been out of action due to an injury as well though is Lucas Vazquez, who was forced off the pitch vs Mallorca. But now, there seems to be some positive news surrounding him.

As reported by Mundo Deportivo, Vazquez is in the final stretch of his injury and works at Valdebebas every day alone to meet the deadlines that have been set for him. He could regain fitness in time to feature vs Osasuna.

Real Madrid player is closing in on return

Vazquez is once again not a starter for Real Madrid this season but he still holds a key role in this team nonetheless.

The Spaniard appears to be the back up option to Dani Carvajal at right-back with Alvaro Odriozola appearing to be out of plans at the moment completely.

Of course, Vazquez is also capable of playing in his more natural wing position and as a result, his return would increase Real Madrid’s options in multiple areas of the pitch.

It remains to be seen if he will be fit enough to feature when Real Madrid return from the international break in the game vs Osasuna.
