Real Madrid have made it a habit in recent years to sign some of the most highly-rated youngsters from South America and developing them at the club, ultimately turning them into first-team stars. Three great recent examples of this policy are Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo and Federico Valverde – all three enjoying great campaigns.

In many ways, Real Madrid have made a U-turn from the previous strategy of signing some of the biggest players in the game by paying world record transfer fees. Thus, while the name Galacticos might have stuck, the idea is no longer relevant to Los Blancos.

One player who has recently caught the eye of Europe despite not even making his senior debut is Palmeiras’ Endrick, who has impressed at the youth level at his club as well as for the Brazilian youth national sides.

As reported by The Sun, according to Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola, Manchester United, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur have joined the Endrick transfer race. But Real Madrid have “never stopped monitoring” him while PSG “seem like the favourites” to sign him at this stage. He is believed to have a £35 million release clause.

There is a tremendous amount of hype surrounding Endrick at the moment and many believe that he is the biggest talent in Brazil since Neymar.

The young striker’s style has drawn comparisons to Ronaldo and Romario. Thus, it is safe to say that a big move to Europe only seems like a matter of time.

At the same time, there is a big risk involved in the move as well. With the amount of interest in the youngster, there is very little doubt that it would take a big transfer fee and package to sign him. But then, how many players have we seen perform at the youth level before fizzling away when they make the move up to senior football.
