Real Madrid interested in Borussia Dortmund striker
It is no secret that Real Madrid are light on options up top at this point of time. Of course, in Karim Benzema, they might have the best striker in the world but beyond that, Los Blancos’ options are slim at best. Mariano Diaz is the only other recognised forward in the senior squad and he has become a bit of an afterthought over the years and could very soon be on his way out of the club.
As a result, Carlo Ancelotti has had to come up with innovative ways to fill the absence of Benzema, who was injured in the Champions League opener vs Celtic and has not featured since then.
Eden Hazard and Rodrygo have been deployed in the false nine role. And while both have had good performances as well as bad ones there, it is safe to say that that does not make the most of the talents of either of them. Thus, Real Madrid could do with another striker in their squad and it looks like they have their eyes on a 17-year-old from Borussia Dortmund.
As reported by ElDesmarque, Real Madrid have their eyes on the situation of Youssoufa Moukoko. His current deal with Borussia Dortmund runs out next summer, and he is yet to agree an extension.
Real Madrid have their eyes on Borussia Dortmund striker
Moukoko might be just 17 years of age but he has already played quite a bit of football for Borussia Dortmund and was one of the most highly rated players in the world while coming through the youth ranks.
According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 2 goals and provided 2 assists in 6 appearances and 154 minutes of football in the Bundesliga this season for Borussia Dortmund.
In fact, he might be the best option that Borussia Dortmund have at striker right now even though he is just 17 years of age. But with his contract running out next summer, an opportunity might open up for clubs like Real Madrid to swoop in and sign him for nothing.
