Real Madrid made a fantastic start to the 2022-23 season, and the squad has yet to drop points as it maintains its undefeated streak. Except for a few incidents in the south, the prior months has been mainly benign.

Real Madrid performed admirably in the Champions League and La Liga, and there were numerous takeaways from the previous several weeks of games.

As Rodrygo reshaped the squad from the right wing, players like Vinicius Jr. and Fede Valverde kept up their momentum from the previous season, and the additions of Aurelien Tchouameni and Antonio Rudiger almost instantly made a positive impact.

After some days off for international service, Real Madrid players return in the white jersey on Monday, kicking off a month full of challenges. Only predictions can be made on how Real Madrid’s October will turn out, and in this article, we will assemble three such bold predictions that may be expected from Real in October 2022.

1. Real Madrid will win El Clasico

The first bold prediction is the one I am most confident about. Real Madrid will win the match against FC Barcelona on October 16th, regaining control of the rivalry between the two heavyweights.

I don’t make the aforementioned claim without proper justification. There are various reasons why I believe Los Blancos will prevail against their most ferocious rivals.

The Clasico will be hosted at Santiago Bernabeu, and the atmosphere at the stadium will play a part, if not the greatest, in determining the tide of the game, just as it did in every Champions League tie last season. The winning mentality and drive to win at all costs will give Real Madrid players an edge over their competitors.

Real will be more resilient now that two of their worst mistakes from the previous campaign, which contributed to the humbling loss to Barcelona, will likely be fixed. Karim Benzema will be back by then, and despite a difficult start to the season, he will have the opportunity to put things right a day before the Ballon d’Or presentation.

The tactical gaffes in last season’s Clasico were a watershed moment in how the rest of the season unfolded, and Carlo Ancelotti will now be corrected not to experiment in such an important encounter. He’ll have undoubtedly learnt a lot from the 4-0 disaster, and this will be his chance to improve his record.

Finally, with the unbeaten streak on the line and the newfound explosive combo of Vinicius and Rodrygo at the helm, Real Madrid will be motivated to go out and get a win over Barcelona.
