Real Madrid is ready to sign a new long-term contract
A lot of players have earned a lot of plaudits for the recent successes that Real Madrid have enjoyed, winning the La Liga and Champions League title last season. One player who sometimes does not get the credit that he deserves though is Eder Militao, who has established himself as a starter for the club under the management of Carlo Ancelotti.
Right now, he is keeping Antonio Rudiger out of a starting spot. That goes on to show how good the Brazilian has been because the German international had been one of the best defenders in the world during his time at Chelsea and even helped them win the Champions League title in the 2020/21 campaign.
Militao might not always get the credit from the football media and the fans, but it looks like the club certainly recognise how good he has been and are set to reward him with a new long-term contract.
As tweeted out by Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid are preparing all the documents for Militao’s new contract, that will be valid until June 2028. It has been verbally agreed since July, and the wait is for the club to proceed with the official communication. The release clause is expected to be €1 billion.
Real Madrid star is set to receive huge contract after the tremendous job that he has done recently
It is safe to say that Militao certainly deserves the extension and has earned it with his performances on the pitch.
Hopefully, he will continue to produce the goods at this rate, because he has everything required to be one of the best on the planet.
He is still far away from his prime as a player and is already one of the undroppables in the Real Madrid team. That just goes on to show the level that he is playing at right now.
