Real Madrid are unhappy with Erling Haaland situation
Real Madrid might have missed out on the next global superstar this summer in Erling Haaland. The Norwegian moved from Borussia Dortmund to Manchester City, and it felt like Los Blancos did not really even make a push for him, with Karim Benzema in top form. But after seeing him this season, they might be regretting it already.
According to stats from Transfermarkt, Haaland has scored 17 goals in 11 appearances for Manchester City till now. 14 of those strikes have come in the Premier League.
Just for some context, Mohamed Salah was the top scorer last season with 23 goals. We are at the start of October! That’s how good Haaland has been.
Recently, it has emerged though that Real Madrid were Haaland’s third choice when it comes to choosing his next club, when he was set to leave Borussia Dortmund. His father’s comments might not have gone down well with some people at Santiago Bernabeu though.
Real Madrid are not happy with Haaland situation
Kylian Mbappe is another player who has commented about Real Madrid, even though he decided to extend his contract with Paris Saint-Germain in the summer, when most fans expected him to join Los Blancos on a free transfer.
And as reported by Marca, certain sectors of Real Madrid are getting quite tired, starting with the directors, who do not consider it acceptable for these two players, and many others, to talk about the club in order to boost their own positions.
Both Haaland and Mbappe are brilliant players, and it would be foolish to completely rule out the chances of them making a move to Real Madrid one day. But at the moment, it is best to forget about them, as there is very little chance of it happening anytime soon. Perhaps, the club can revisit it in a few years’ time.
