Real Madrid have arguably the best midfield in Europe right now. They have two legends like Luka Modric and Toni Kroos, who have seen it all and done it all. Then they have an incredible core of young midfielders in Aurelien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga and Federico Valverde, who could represent the club for the next decade or so. And Dani Ceballos has shown a lot of improvement over time as well, and is a great option to have in the squad as cover.

Yet, Real Madrid continue to be linked with midfielders, as it looks like they are still looking to improve in that area of the pitch.

A major reason for that might be the fact that Modric and Kroos are in the twilight of their respective careers. The German is rumoured to be considering retirement at the end of the season. On the other hand, while the Croatian superstar continues to go strong, he is 37 years of age.

Los Blancos have been heavily linked with Jude Bellingham of Borussia Dortmund. But it appears that they have a Belgian midfielder in their sights at the same time.

As reported by CalcioMercato, Juventus, Real Madrid and Liverpool like Youri Tielemans of Leicester City. His current deal runs out next summer.

Tielemans has been one of the most highly rated young midfielders in the Premier League for a long time and it is hard to believe that he is still just 25 years of age.

He might not be going through a great campaign right now but there is no question about his quality. And considering his age as well as his experience, both at club and international level, it is a no brainer to go after him, if he is available as a free agent.
