It is safe to say that Real Madrid have done a great job when it comes to identifying and signing the top young talents from Brazil and then developing them into superstars at Santiago Bernabeu. This policy has served them extremely well, especially in a period of time when transfer fees have sky rocketed. Thus, signing players early on has become even more important, even though the strategy does come with its fair share of risk as well.
The perfect example of this method succeeding is Vinicius Jr. He was brought in from Flamengo in 2018 and after some struggles in his first few seasons in Spain, has developed into one of Real Madrid’s most important players.
Now, another Brazilian wonderkid is being linked with Real Madrid in Endrick. But the eyes of Europe are on him, with him being considered the biggest talent that the country has produced since Neymar and his style has earned comparisons to Ronaldo and Romario, despite the fact that he has not made a senior appearance till now and is just 16 years of age.
The likes of Barcelona, Chelsea, Manchester City, Liverpool and several others have been linked with Endrick as well, but Real Madrid might have a slight advantage.
€60 million Brazilian star makes Vinicius claim amid Real Madrid links
As tweeted out by Madrid Zone, Endrick told CANAL+ Foot:
"“My favorite player in the world is Vinicius Jr. Obviously Neymar is amazing as well, but I prefer Vinicius.”"
Thus, Endrick has picked Vinicius as his favourite player. It must also be pointed out though that he shares the same agency with the Real Madrid star.
Of course, these are all small advantages for Real Madrid, as is the fact that they have shown a terrific track record in developing Brazilian talents in recent years.
It is believed that there is a €60 million release clause in Endrick’s deal with Palmeiras. And it will be very interesting to see where he ultimately ends up at.
