How much Real Madrid would have to pay to sign Kylian Mbappe revealed
The Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid transfer saga seems to be back on after rumours have emerged that the Frenchman is not happy at Paris Saint-Germain and wants to leave as early as possible. Of course, there are a couple of major problems with any potential move from Los Blancos for the World Cup winner.
The first is the fact that they had already tried to sign him in the past, but Mbappe turned down the opportunity to join Real Madrid and decided to remain at PSG instead and extend his contract with them. That was less than a year ago and the wounds are yet to heal from that saga. Thus, it is unclear whether the club would even entertain the idea of another move for the Frenchman.
The second hurdle, and perhaps an even bigger one, would be the transfer fee, as PSG are expected to look for a world record fee to let their star man go.
As reported by The Telegraph, according to PSG sources, the club regard Mbappe as a “€300-350 million (£263-£306m) player”.
Real Madrid would have to shatter world record to sign Mbappe from PSG
The fact that there is quite some time left on Mbappe’s current deal with PSG means that they hold all the cards right now.
It is also believed that PSG and Real Madrid do not share the best relationship at this point of time, which would complicate any potential move further.
If Mbappe is to leave PSG any time soon, the Premier League might be his most likely destination. He has been linked with a move to Liverpool already in the past, while the new Chelsea ownership are believed to be looking to sign a global superstar. And of course, one can never count out the likes of Manchester City and Manchester United.
